HAANA was established to help Haddis Alemayehu Academy in Ethiopia create a state-of-the-art, and exeAmplary center of educational excellence, with professionals who provide a robust and welcoming environment, and up-to-date facilities where students and school community members are nurtured and empowered morally, physically, academically, intellectually, and emotionally. Named after Haddis Alemayehu, the renowned Ethiopian author, diplomat and educator, the academy is designed to offer a rigorous curriculum, provide a hands-on educational experience, and revitalize indigenous knowledge, all of which should prepare students for college and future careers and enable them to become conscientious citizens.
